1 missing after plane’s emergency water landing in Bahamas


The U.S. Coast Guard is looking for a fifty seven-yr-previous man after a small aircraft made an emergency water touchdown within the Bahamas.

In a press release late Thursday, Coast Guard officers stated the pilot of the Cessna 210 airplane reported mechanical points and stated an emergency touchdown was wanted close to Freeport, Bahamas.

Officers stated an excellent Samaritan seaplane rescued a 60-yr-previous lady from the water about 18 miles (29 kilometers) northwest of Freeport. A Coast Guard helicopter crew hoisted the lady from the seaplane and flew her to a Freeport hospital for remedy.

Officers stated a fifty seven-yr-previous man remained lacking. Coast Guard helicopter and cutter crews have launched a search.
