EU official: unprecedented step warning Poland is likely

A prime European Union official says the bloc’s government Fee will determine subsequent week whether or not to set off an unprecedented process towards Poland that would see the nation lose its voting rights within the EU.

The step has been mentioned in response to new Polish payments overhauling the judicial system which the EU sees as a violation of elementary European values.

EU price range commissioner Guenther Oettinger advised Germany’s Deutschlandfunk radio Friday: “Whether or not we’ll take this step, my colleagues and I should determine subsequent Wednesday.”

However he stated “rather a lot speaks” for it occurring, in what can be a primary for the bloc.

Poland’s new Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has been making an attempt to influence leaders at an EU summit in Brussels that the payments don’t violate democratic values.
