A Mexican man who had been deported twice has been convicted of illegally reentering the U.S. for a second time, Appearing United States Lawyer W. Stephen Muldrow introduced Thursday.
Noe Blas-Jahuey, 30, was indicted on Might 19, 2016, and faces as much as 10 years in jail. His sentencing is scheduled for March 9, 2018.
Prosecutors say Blas-Jahuey had been deported twice in 2013 — as soon as in August and once more in December, however he reentered the nation. Courtroom data say Blas-Jahuey was caught when he was arrested on an aggravated assault cost in Pinellas County.
Blas-Jahuey had beforehand been convicted for unlawful reentry into the nation. The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
