CRYSTAL LAKE, Unwell. (AP) — Police say the physique of a 5-yr-previous Illinois boy whose mother and father reported him missing final week was discovered buried in a shallow grave and wrapped in plastic in a rural space a number of miles from the family’s residence.
Crystal Lake police Chief James Black stated during a news convention that investigators found what they consider to be the remains of Andrew “AJ” Freund early Wednesday in the neighboring metropolis of Woodstock.
Efforts are underway to verify it is AJ’s body.
He says they have been led to the body after interviewing AJ’s mother and father in a single day and presenting them with cellphone evidence.
The mother and father, Andrew Freund Sr. and JoAnn Cunningham, every face five counts of first-degree homicide and different fees.
Authorities say they reported him missing final Thursday and advised officers they last saw him at bedtime the night time before.
