Chase suspect’s car speeds through Los Angeles with raised front hood

LOS ANGELES —

A man suspected of assault with a lethal weapon led police on a high-velocity chase by means of Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon whilst his automotive’s raised entrance hood obscured his view of the roadway.

About 12:forty five p.m., the pursuit was making its method eastbound on the 134 Freeway close to Griffith Park when the driving force transitioned onto the southbound 5 Freeway.

With the white Lexus sedan’s hood blocking the windshield, the chase continued on to the southbound one hundred ten and a hundred and one freeways before exiting onto floor streets in Boyle Heights.

Multiple LAPD cruisers had joined the chase when the driving force pulled into a gated parking zone in South L.A. He obtained out of the Lexus, took off his sweatshirt and T-shirt, and raised his arms in the air.

A lady ran toward him and embraced him, shielding the suspect from the coming officers. A person then approached the driving force and locked arms with him.

Man and lady escorted the suspect toward the officers, whose guns have been drawn. The suspect dropped to his knees and was taken into custody without incident.
