One killed, another injured in San Leandro deputy-involved shooting



SAN LEANDRO (KRON) — A person was killed and a lady was injured after a capturing Wednesday night time in San Leandro involving Alameda County sheriff’s deputies.

In line with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Workplace, a report of a theft in progress got here into authorities at 4:forty p.m. near East 14th Road and 162nd Avenue.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a number of suspects in a dark-colored SUV parked in the parking zone of a thrift retailer.

An Alameda County deputy tried to make contact with the man and lady inside the automotive. Officials say, the driving force of the automotive then put the automotive in reverse toward deputies. 

Three sheriff’s deputies then fired photographs towards the automotive. The male suspect was hit by gunfire, authorities say, and died on the scene. 

The feminine suspect was taken to the hospital for her injuries. 

There was also a canine contained in the automotive — but the animal was unhurt. 

The deputies concerned suffered minor injuries.
