MOSCOW (AP) Russian bobsledder Alexander Zubkov has gained a Moscow courtroom ruling that would make it more durable for the Worldwide Olympic Committee to get well his gold medals.
The Russian flagbearer at the 2014 Sochi Olympics was stripped of his two gold medals from those games in 2017 by the IOC for doping. He did not overturn that disqualification at the Courtroom of Arbitration for Sport final yr.
However Moscow’s highest civil courtroom on Friday upheld Zubkov’s declare that the CAS process was unfair and should not be acknowledged in Russia, rejecting an attraction from the Russian Olympic Committee.
Friday’s ruling may even make it more durable for Zubkov to be eliminated as president of the Russian Bobsled Federation.
