A toddler is displaying signs of improvement after a close to-drowning incident in Dos Palos.

The incident occurred on January 2.

An in depth good friend of the household says the little boy had been enjoying outdoors together with his 6-yr-previous sister when he wandered off and fell into a close-by canal.

Now, he’s recovering right here at Valley Youngsters’s and his family is hoping for a miracle.

“I look that method and my wife appears down and she or he sees him proper there she goes, ‘oh my gosh, he is right here!’

Steven Solis wasted no time leaping into the canal to save lots of one-yr-previous Angel Martinez Alvares who was found face down within the water on January 2.

“Once I pulled him out of the canal he was lifeless; he had a haze in his eyes – you understand he seemed like he was gone.”

Moments earlier than, Solis says he and a number of other neighbors spent no more than 10 minutes in search of Angel as soon as his mother realized her baby boy was missing.

Solis tells us the toddler slipped out her sight and within minutes was nowhere to be seen.

Dos Palos police say CPR was performed until paramedics arrived and took the toddler, who beloved to be outdoors, to Los Banos Memorial Hospital.

Now he is at Valley Youngsters’s the place he has been preventing for his life for two weeks.

“He is doing approach higher. He is truly opening his eyes, they say he is laughing. They do not need him overwhelmed too much.”

Solis is hoping the group will continue to wish for Angel and hope he makes a full recovery, as an alternative of concentrating on his mother and father for one thing he says was an accident.

“We all make mistakes simply turning our backs for a second. Please do not mess with the mother and father, it may possibly happen to anyone.”
